Recovered glass is only worth what its contamination level allows. Ceramics, stones and porcelain in particular are difficult to remove and will downgrade or reject a load if they reach the furnace.
CLARITY uses optical detection to find those contraries and fast air jets to eject them from the stream, and it sorts the remaining glass by colour. What comes off the line is high-quality cullet, sorted and cleaned to a standard container-glass producers can use.
It is a well-established system, in service since the late 1990s, which means the technology and its results are well understood across the glass-recycling industry.
